چکیده
Importance: Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a severe form of secondary has varying prevalence 0.01 to 3.9% all in different regions world. Majority them are affected with proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Although NVG overall low but it dreadful condition led blindness. If not detected earlier the disease by latest investigating majors and treated systematically on stages along taking care alleviation aggravating factors for retinal hypoxia. Objectives: To summarize published evidence etiopathogenesis, clinical feature, provide treatment recommendation ophthalmologists based evidence. Evidence Review: A literature search PubMed was conducted from January 1, 1974 June 30, 2022. Publications describing prevalence, staging, investigation modality were included study. Findings: characterized development new vessels iris fibrovascular tissue proliferation anterior chamber angle increase IOP, principally driven Retinal ischemia among commonest causes neuropathy (PDR), central venous occlusion, ocular ischemic syndrome (OIS).

An earlier case control investigation has indicated a strong relationship between dehydrational crises and risk of presenile cataract. A second methodologically distinct case control study of risk factors in cataract has been carried out in a population very different in terms of environmental and sociocultural characteristics from the population investigated in the earlier study in Central Ind...
متن کاملHyphema is a risk factor for failure of trabeculectomy in neovascular glaucoma: a retrospective analysis
BACKGROUND Several retinal ischemic diseases can cause neovascular glaucoma (NVG). Trabeculectomy with mitomycin C (MMC) is a relatively better treatment modality in the management of eyes with NVG than other glaucoma surgeries. The aim of this study was to investigate the factors that may influence the outcome of trabeculectomy with MMC for NVG. METHODS Forty-nine NVG eyes from 43 patients (...
متن کاملNeovascular glaucoma: a review
Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is a secondary glaucoma generally associated with poor visual prognosis. The development of new vessels over the iris and the iridocorneal angle can obstruct aqueous humor outflow and lead to increased intraocular pressure. The underlying pathogenesis in most cases is posterior segment ischemia, which is most commonly secondary to proliferative diabetic retinopathy or...
متن کاملNeovascular Glaucoma
Neovascular glaucoma (NVG) is an intractable sight-threatening disease which is extremely difficult to manage and can lead to permanent visual loss. It occurs as a result of iris neovascularization also known as rubeosis iridis. Once the condition develops, early diagnosis and management is essential to minimize visual loss, thus better understanding of the causes and pathogenesis is essential....
